BIOGRAPHY Established Araluen Aboriginal Corporation in Newcastle in the 1990s; Jabiru Dreaming, a community centre and internet cafe, in 1999; next she wants ``housing and jobs for my people".
PASSION ``To reconcile Aboriginal people with other Aboriginal people. We need to do that before we can reconcile with non-Aboriginal people. There's so much hatred among our people. I've been working for my people for the last 20 years. I've never worked for money because I believe once money gets involved you forget about your people. I struggle every day so I feel the struggle of my people."
INSPIRATION ``I have a lot of my father's ways. He was a simple man but I think if he was alive today he would be proud of me. He raised 14 kids in a home he built himself and he provided and looked after us."
